How to score
Total the scores for statements a) to h) ……. These indicate push behaviours.
Total the score for statements i) to p) ………. These indicate pull behaviours.
Now look at your scores for push and your scores for pull behaviours. In order to be an effective influencer, your scores should be within 3 points of each other. If one score is higher than the other by more than 3 points, this is the style that you feel most comfortable with. It is probable that you under- use the other style.
Think of occasions when it would be helpful to be more push or pull to influence others during change. Set yourself a goal of practising your under- used style.
